Locker Room Remodel – 2013

The Health & Wellness Building is home to academic courses such as kinesiology and nursing, as well as the San Mateo Athletic Club and Aquatics Center, which is located on the ground floor. This public/private arrangement allows sharing of the large college pool with SMCCD. The popular Club needed more locker room space, and SSA was selected by the District for design and construction documentation of a more spacious area. SSA’s design included removal of existing fixtures, installation of new lockers and walls, plus a seating area. The District extended SSA’s contract to bidding and construction administration. The upgrades will improve the functionality of the Center and make it more inviting to users.
