Larkspur City Hall

While excellent examples of Mission Revival architecture, the interiors of the City Hall and Public Library were not functioning well. SSA fully reorganized and rejuvenated the spaces with a grand entryway framed with locally produced stained-glass accents that introduces an atmosphere of elegance found throughout the building. Features like enhanced general and children’s library facilities, with additional stack areas, have helped establish this building at the heart of town life.

The fully compliant new design managed to change the mood of the building, reawakening the structure’s classic beauty as exemplified by the stately new turn-of-the-century sitting room. The historic renovation earned the project a Special Commendation for Interior Reconstruction in the Renaissance awards of the National Association of Home Builders.
