Campus Safety and Security
An open and welcoming campus or a closed and secure one? Does one have to be chosen over the other? Sally Swanson will be participating in a presentation on College Safety & Security at the CCFC (Community College Facility Coalition) Conference. Celebrating it’s 20th year, the 3-day CCFC conference will provide numerous workshops and presentations that address the changing educational climate. The Security workshop, moderated by Marsha Park of Vanir Construction Management, will address a multi-disciplinary approach to a safer campus. Design can enhance safety and deter criminal behavior. Law enforcement, architects, planners, interior designers and landscape architects, working with staff, students, and volunteers, can create a climate of increased safety. The workshop will be on November 6, from 10:45-noon.
