San Diego Unified Port District (SDUPD)
SDUPD oversees the leases of more than 600 tenant and sub-tenant businesses, two maritime cargo terminals, a cruise ship terminal, 17 public parks, wildlife reserves and environmental initiatives. The Port retained SSA to review construction documents for code deviations, develop conceptual solutions for barrier mitigation and to identify existing access barriers in the field. SSA analyzed and prepared proposed action items for a pedestrian crossing and provided recommendations for meeting accessible paths of travel. In addition, SSA prepared design solutions and construction documents for Port of San Diego consideration and a report of disabled access compliance status on disability access to the Hilton Hotel. SSA also provided staff training on ADA compliance.
