Department of General Services (DGS)
SSA produced a report based on an accessibility survey of the Alfred Alquist San Jose State Building, a three-story, 130,000 sq. ft. building. The survey was conducted to document the building’s compliance with California State Accessibility Standards (USAS) and with Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG). Exterior areas surveyed included exterior stairs and paths of travel from public rights-of-way to the building’s main entrance and back entrances. Interior areas surveyed included the reception suite and auditorium, cafeteria, elevators, men’s and women’s restrooms, open-air corridors, and entrances to departmental and office suites.
