City of Solana Beach, CA

SSA worked with City staff to develop solutions for beach access, balancing code requirements with real-world constructability. The long-range Transition Plan optimizes proposed paths of travel in areas of primary recreational opportunity. SSA provided expert testimony on this project to the Presidential- appointed US Access Board in Washington, DC, as it considered far-sweeping changes to the Americans with Disabilities Act requiring greater access to beaches and other recreational and open space areas.
