City of El Cerrito, CA
SSA updated the City’s ADA Transition Plan. The first step included an ADA survey of City facilities and pedestrian rights-of-way. SSA then identified physical barriers in City’s facilities and assessed the extent of architectural barriers to the accessibility of programs, services and activities. Next, proposed methods to mitigate these identified barriers were itemized and estimates of preliminary costs provided for their correction, with priorities assigned to barrier elimination. SSA also solicited public input and addressed grievance procedures in updating the plan.
