2018 Winter Olympics/Paralympics

For the 2018 Winter Olympic/Paralympic Games, SSA’s team reviewed the architectural design documents. The firm evaluated the accessibility issues at six Paralympic venues and is working with the PyeongChang Olympic Committee to prioritize remedies for access deficiencies found in the preliminary plans. SSA created a framework for accessible venues through uniform Universal Access Standards. The Games will be highly accessible with athletes able to reach competition venues within 30 minutes; the Paralympic Village, hotel and main press center complex will all be built within a six-kilometer radius, ensuring easy access for all.
